Oli Powell
trustee
CRELD1 Dad
I am honored to serve as a Trustee for the CRELD1 Warriors, a charity dedicated to raising awareness and support for families affected by the genetic disorder CRELD1.
My involvement with the CRELD1 Warriors is deeply personal, as my wife Sophie and I have a son, Angus who was diagnosed with CRELD1 in July 2024. This journey has given me a profound understanding of the challenges faced by families navigating this condition, as well as a passionate commitment to making a difference.

With a background that spans over six years in the British military, where I served as an Army Officer, I bring a wealth of leadership, resilience, and strategic thinking to my role as a Trustee. My military experience has equipped me with the skills to navigate complex situations and work effectively within a team, all of which are invaluable in our mission to support the CRELD1 community.

Currently, I work as a developer in the renewable energy industry, where I am dedicated to creating sustainable solutions for a better future. This professional endeavor aligns with my belief in fostering positive change and innovation, values that I carry into my work with the CRELD1 Warriors.

Through my personal and professional experiences, I am committed to advocating for increased research, support, and resources for those affected by CRELD1. Together with the dedicated team at CRELD1 Warriors, we strive to create a brighter future for our children and their families.
